Beat Battle at Curator Fest 2025

 

🎧 Producer Beat Battle Rules – Curator Festival

Think you’ve got the hottest beats? Step into the ring and prove it. Please read all rules carefully before entering.

🔥 General Format

  • 8+ Beats Required: Each producer must come prepared with at least 8 original beats.

  • Battle Format: The battle consists of 4 rounds:

    • Round 1 – Opening

    • Round 2 – Style Switch-Up

    • Round 3 – Energy Round

    • Round 4 – Championship Battle (Final 2 producers)

🎵 Beat Rules

  • 2 Beats per Round: Each producer plays 2 beats per round.

  • Play Time: Each beat will be played for 1 minute and 30 seconds (max).

  • Beat Types: All styles welcome (hip-hop, trap, R&B, experimental, etc.) – showcase your versatility!

  • No Live Equipment: Beats must be pre-loaded and ready to play from your device or USB. No live finger-drumming or performance gear allowed during the battle.

🧠 Judging Criteria

Winners will be chosen based on:

  • Originality & creativity

  • Sound selection & mix

  • Crowd reaction & energy

  • Versatility across rounds

⚖️ Battle Etiquette

  • Respect your opponent and the time limit.

  • No overtalking or interrupting during plays.

  • Keep it competitive but friendly — this is about art and community!
